If it helps at all I sometimes used to hang sheets and blankets over the corners of doors.

Giving an extra spin dry cycle at the end also really helps

The spin dry is a really big one - one of my criteria when I bought my washing machine was that it have a very fast spin cycle to get more water out.

I think I would have to be careful putting sheets over the doors, Miss Meow could think they are a climbing challenge!
