Brazil's supreme court has ordered former President Jair Bolsonaro to wear an ankle monitor.

The decision came as the former president's home and party headquarters in Brasilia were searched on Friday.

Members of Bolsonaro's right-wing Liberal Party said he was also ordered to stop using social media and end communications with diplomats.

That’s Bolsonaro’s line of thinking—it plays well with his base, whose average IQ makes a chimp look like Einstein. On the bright side, inmates at "Papuda" (the prison where he's expected to serve his term) are already preparing a warm welcome-home party. What a memorable day that’ll be.
