I did read his interview in the athletic, and he did mention he didn't go for the money, they didn't mention anything about money, and that he wanted to expand football.
The comments under the article where hilarious!

Read the Athletic one and goddamn he's either thick as a brick or completely dishonest! Probably the latter or both.

As a Liverpool fan and LGBTQ+ ally, that was such a massive betrayal. He can walk alone.
