Testing a link

Brilliant - I love that we can see where a text link actually points. It's one of the things I've liked least about Lemmy apps so far, sometimes you're potentially clicking blind.

Oh, and we still have the choice between inline and expanded, fantastic! Settings shortcut: Link handling > Expanded comment links

Yeah, it's a fantastic feature that. Just long hold the individual setting you want to link to, and the link will be added to your clipboard. It's some sort of dark magic I think.

If you're concerned about clicking blind in other apps too, there's an app on F-Droid called URLCheck which intercepts links from all apps, letting you see and optionally choose what to do with them (such as removing a forced redirect, removing tracking parameters and much more) then choose what installed app/browser to open the link with
