Surely Germany has an abundance of doctors and their "welcoming" culture and sentiment towards refugees and immigrands over the past 10 years wont enter the find out stage very very soon. /s

I don't think that's the problem here.

  1. It's former immigrants returning to their original country after it got better, but needs help. They may come back again, but it would be normal if they stayed.

  2. The solution to an abundance of workers in a field should not be to rely on immigrants, because that would just shift the problem to another country. The solution should be to make the job more lucrative, so more people decide to choose it, if they have a choice. That may also attract some immigrants, but it's just a small side effect. The main groups you'd want to attract is ppl who gave it up for short term and young ppl who are just choosing their career for long term.

I think attractive instead of lucrative would be a better word. As usually not only money defines such decisions but general working environment and conditions. People optimize for quality of life which includes money but also other factors besides that.

The reason refugees go to Germany or really any other place is mostly that their home country is to dangerous. The civil war in Syria seems to end, so the reason they went to Germany in the first place is mostly gone. Hence they go home.

It surely is not that they earn more money in Syria, they work for free.
