When I was 19 I wore a vest as part of a musical, and due to cast parties and such, I was walking out at night wearing the vest loosely over my shirt.
Some random woman walking by said "that vest looks really good on you!"
I kept it and wore it at least once a week until it fell apart.
I would like a new one, though. Purple and black paisley and/or lace is my jam.
i bought a beret when gorillaz did the g-foot merch and was so nervous to wear it in public, but literally the first time i did i got a compliment!
that one compliment not only directly led to me making WAY wackier choices with my clothes and jewelry, but now i also compliment strangers a lot.
It's got a rhyming system but I can't for the life of me figure out the meter.
