The app doesn't even come with any removed channels?! What's next, ban VLC because it can play illegal videos? Ban Windows because it can connect to the internet and play pirated streams? Ban eyesight because you can watch an unlicensed broadcast? Removed politicians

Spanish football league LaLiga has asked a local court to charge the directors of Google, Apple, and Huawei in a row over an IPTV player app. The companies removed the Newplay app from their stores in 2022 to comply with a court order but LaLiga says that apps already installed on users' phones must be remotely deactivated.

What a bunch of greedy clowns. Not only that's illegal to do afaik, it's not even technically possible. Hell even if they could, that would accomplish absolutely nothing.

The only thing they could've try to pull was to ask spanish ISPs to block IPTV altogether, but then again, easily solved with a VPN. Stupid fight to pick if you ask me.
