You could read a web novel with a fewer or a lot of pictures, or read it as a manhwa / webtoon, or as an anime, or as a virtual reality 3D experience that is semi-interactive. And you could give instructions to shorten or expand it, or even diverge in the plot a little, or change the characters. More like the holodeck with a VR headset.
