Just as capitalist states are "authoritarian" against working class interests, socialist states are "authoritarian" against capitalist interests.

The state is a tool for one class to oppress another. The goal of (most) communists is to transition from capitalism — where the capitalist class is in power — to a stateless, classless communist society via socialism — where the working class is in power.

Public perception of which is more "authoritarian" therefore depends on which class is currently in power and is able to manufacture consent, and that is the capitalist class in the vast majority of the world right now since the USSR's overthrow.

Fucking finally. Was disgusting hearing Erdogan pretend to be pro-Palestine while being a primary trading partner of the occupation. I guess the internal pressure from the population is finally getting to them.

  • Sanctions and tariffs implemented as part of a US-led trade war have put increased pressure on China’s manufacturing industry

  • Despite that, a Post investigation can reveal a large proportion of the ‘Made in China 2025’ 10-year targets have been achieved

In 2015, China set out on an ambitious 10-year plan – dubbed “Made in China 2025” – to achieve self-reliance, innovation and strength in the manufacturing industry within 10 years.

Back then, China stood at the lower end of the global industrial value chain, producing mostly cheap and technically backward products.

In 2018, then-US president Donald Trump tried to upset China’s plan by initiating a trade war. The US government sanctioned Chinese hi-tech enterprises, put up high tariffs and conducted a nationwide investigation of scientists collaborating with China. After Joe Biden took over as US leader in 2021, he went a step further by imposing measures such as a chip ban on China.

But based on official books published a decade ago and other authoritative sources, the Post has compiled more than 260 goals previously proposed under the plan. These goals span 10 key areas, many involving highly specialised and complex technologies.

And the analysis confirms that more than 86 per cent of these goals have been achieved, with some others likely to be completed later this year or next. Meanwhile some of the targets, such as electric vehicles (EV) and renewable energy production, have been well surpassed.

finally

This article is just a youtube premium ad 🤢

As far as what you get when you go Premium, you won't see any more ads within the app or the videos that you're watching. Plus, you'll gain access to background play, along with being able to download videos on the go. And perhaps what makes this plan even more worthwhile is that you get access to YouTube Music, which features over 100 million commercial free songs. Now, the one drawback is that these features don't come for free, with a subscription costing $13.99 per month in the US.

Liberals getting mad at people breaking the shitty capitalist laws of an imperialist state will never not be funny.

This is why they always let capitalism decay into fascism, because doing something about it like rioting or, god forbid, a revolution, would break the law (😱)

This is also where the US has/had the largest military drone base in the world.

Seems like a pretty big deal, specially with Burkina Faso seeming like it's going in a socialist direction again.

Also Burkina Faso’s Ibrahim Traore: “Today, our relationship with Russia is primarily strategic. With Russia, there are no restrictions on the equipment we want to purchase. Others impose restrictions on us. They support us in terms of training, logistics, tactical training, and everything else. They provide support in these aspects."

"Israel" really wants to dethrone nazi Germany as the most openly genocidal fascist state huh.

No wonder zionists and nazis have a history of cooperating. Might as well be the same thing.

Over the last five months, we've seen an unprecedented escalation in violence in Gaza. Most people I know feel like they're going crazy. We're all seeing the same footage, but no matter how angry we all get and how much we try to change public opinion, nothing seems to come of it. So...what can we do? Has evil won?

And the rest are racist.

Took a look through some of the ones with tame names out of morbid curiosity; not that interesting tbh. Just hope I'm not on a watchlist now.

Because Israel is more profitable of course. Whatever "justifications" the US uses for war are always just excuses to earn the ruling capitalist class more profit.

Capitalism just follows the money. Though if there's enough protests and riots at home, the cost of managing that would outweigh the profit of genocoding native Palestinians.
