So, in gaming terms, we're upgrading our gear to kill stronger bosses?

For what it's worth, I am a frequent lurker of hexbear and their users' newspaper archive is wonderful - every politician is full of it and they know it full well.

It's a pity she had to see her income go down to muster an apology. Regardless, it seems genuine - the general disregard for paragraphs (as well as avoiding a line of separation when we venture with one) being the dead giveaway here.

Oh yeah I can work under pressure

Wait, you don't mean with the song playing in the background?

Ooooh, das Übermensch!

I think that, in the absence of a truly antagonist character, the Nazis were doomed to play something similar to Cold War with the Japanese. You can only act like the baddies for so long before the audience gets desensitized to it, imo.

Regardless, I think some bits and pieces of the story are still quite relevant and they hit like a wall. For instance, John Smith losing his child to the brainwashing nazi machinery (he had to forfeit his life because of a truly forgettable genetic defect), and then also losing it in the "alternative dimension" to the brainwashing American machine for the Vietnam war.

I'm South American though, so for me both the Nazis and the USA are irredeemable. This may have skewed my enjoyment of the show in a different direction than yours!

I think it's a very fun show! The setting of the show is a somewhat interesting thought exercise. But don't get me wrong, the stuff about portals and alternate dimensions was being hinted at since the very beginning. If you care about story writing, the arcs of John Smith and the Japanese lads are very interesting to follow as well.

A final thought about the final season:

spoilerIt felt just a bit too rushed toward the end. For instance, it's almost like they felt like the Black Communist Rebellion couldn't ultimately win, otherwise the cattle would be asking questions.

My device doesn't have a graphics card and only has two threads, so I guess it's just for higher end devices?

Tried it, my device crashes every 2 minutes in. Not worth the effort for now.

Has anyone ever tried to carry out a stochastic analysis of the data? I'd never thought about it, but the webpage's way of representing the data makes it seem like we're watching the stock market.

It would change the landscape of Linux gaming completely.

I myself cannot afford to lose some FPS (as in most games I can barely hit 30), but I cannot wait for the moment I can buy a gaming device and enjoy all these goodies!

Hi everyone,

I've been checking this forum but I have not managed to find duplicates (I'm using Summit for Lemmy). If that's the case I'll remove this post.

I'm about to start a PhD. I've been told I will be required to partake in publications and other shenanigans. I am not against it, but I'm very concerned about having my full name flying around the internet, as I've always been hesitant of sharing any of that information (real name, pictures, etc).

Ultimately, I only care for potential employers to know that it's actually me the one who has written this or that, which I would happily disclose in private.

What's the usual stance in this situation?

Lately, I found out that Application Launcher also features all the functionality I use from KRunner.

In my particular experience, Application Launcher is snappier at first launch and also returns results rather quickly. For me, this begs an obvious question.

What's the use case for using KRunner over the Application Launcher?

So far I've noticed that pressing Enter on the Calculator results makes the entry be copied on KRunner, but this does not happen for the Application Launcher. I'm certain there must be something else to it, otherwise people would not be using it (even I found myself using it from time to time, but could not understand why).

You can find and download the project from the KDE Store and from https://store.kde.org/p/1804745/

Hey guys,

Just wanted to tell you that Day/Night Switcher has been finally ported to Plasma 6. I couldn't have done this with the interest by the community on the project's continuation. Anyway, let us all enjoy it.

I am only posting this in the hopes that old users who moved to Plasma 6 may catch up on the news.

See you around, kids!
