Which is exactly what I recently did with my 3+... all charging issues now solved and I didn't have to spend days reconfiguring a new phone to how I like it

Yeah, me too.

t's great ripping off the back of the phone and swapping a battery whilst all the iMoan users are staring in disbelief, tethered to the power outlets

But, how often do you use it for bulk file transfer though?

Everything on my phone's transferred over wifi with syncthing... or https://pairdrop.net/ (etc)

Yeah, but as the old saying goes, if you like something you'll tell 1 person, if you don't like something you'll tell 10 people...

I do agree, their support is really bad and they've acknowledged that. Whether it's true or not, they're saying they're struggling to keep up due to demand...

All I can say is, my experience was completely positive.

So, no SIM-only contracts?

Go with a different network provider?

Or... get the absolutely cheapest thing they have, take out the SIM and use it in your phone?

I have the 3+ with headphone jack... and honestly... I've not used that for a good few years now.

Car or home, it's all bluetooth now (and yeah, my Mercedes BT is less reliable than the phone's)

Totally get that others still do, but, IMHO it's becoming less of a thing now.

I think you've read me wrong there.

First up, I presume you searched for other posts like this one? If not, a pinned post might've made that easier for you to get started (ie Mint)

Second, the pinned post doesn't become a final answer, it's a starting point to add to the discussion, (ie you tried Mint, but didn't like X, Y & Z)

From my pov there are a lot of posts asking this same question and this was simply a reflection on how we could improve the community... and your experience.

~1600 hours uptime... no rebooting after patching?

You... you do patch your web server... don't you...?

But, a good blog... must give my BIOSes a good looking at and see if I can change some of mine

LoL... looks like a EULA in Uppercase

Much prefer that you do your stuff the way you want, and lowercase makes it feel like it's hand written

Man, we need to be able to pin some posts and answer these quesrions once.

I'm not saying there's a single answer (I use Arch btw), but if we could just group all these Q&As in 1 post...

I don't think you're forced to use it.

I'm certainly not - and surprisingly I'm still able to function and communicate with others.
