Why the fuck would any office worker whose job is 100% on a computer need to be in an office? I don't understand why companies want to pay for all of that electricity and real estate just to make people sit in cubicles.

$64k is a great salary in my area of PA. I'm not familiar with GA but I imagine it's the same. To put this into comparison, the average household income in GA is $75k and most households are two earners, so yeah, seems pretty good.

I believe the official reason is because it's a trans-focused instance, and trans people are often downvoted by bigots. But to me, the biggest advantage is escaping the peer pressure of upvotes/downvotes.
I found myself easily swayed by karma on Reddit, and it got so bad that I could barely express myself without trying to copy the Reddit "tone of voice" and agree with everything the hivemind went for. Now that I don't see downvotes, it forces people to actually have a discussion in the comments if they want to sway my opinion. It feels much more human and has been great for my mental health.

Yikes. I leave my dog in my car all the time for 10 minutes at a time with the AC or Heat blasting. He's attached to my hip everywhere I go, and when I have to stop somewhere to use the restroom or grab some water he's totally fine chilling.
Meh fuck the commercial real estate market. Turn all the buildings into micro apartments or tear them down and install fields of solar panels.
