If that’s what it is them that’s awesome. I want to be able to see a company do something that sounds like a good thing without that back of the mind thought of ‘what are they up to…’

Steam being actually based would be great.

Found in the comments on Steam. On one hand, I love that Steam is going in the opposite direction of literally every other company. On the other hand, it does seem like it’s not being done to be good guys.

It still was a nice surprise to see “btw no forced arbitration”.

Edit: I am too lazy to look for real sources, so take this with a grain of salt and go look for the real sources I’m too lazy to look for.

Is this what the new subscribe-to-drive cars look like inside? Just a straight up tablet where the music and heat controls are supposed to be?

They pushed the version with microtransactions as the main version (Changing Minecraft Bedrock to just Minecraft and changing Minecraft to Minecraft Java).

Not to mention microtransactions existing in any real version of the game at all. Once upon a time, that was a joke. Now it’s not a joke.

If you’ve played it before, it has the same feel imo.

There’s new lands, more QoL, new pals. Nothing drastic I’ve noticed from its release state.

Think Minecraft and then Minecraft after like 3-4 updates.

That is a very happy cat.

Different people react to different things. It takes many approaches to reach multiple types of humans.

I personally reacted after months of being shown hypocrisy, with the tipping point being when I said there’s no problem with eggs and dairy before I was shown what the egg and dairy industries do.

Part of that process was really realizing, not just knowing but consciously thinking about and considering the fact that humans are also meat. I am meat. The cats I loved were meat. My human family is meat. It’s not okay to eat them in a sandwich. Why is it okay to eat strangers in a sandwich?

No one approach will work on every human, and many people take a lot of different approaches over time to really understand.

Vegan is a philosophy, not a diet. The word you’re looking for is plant-based, not vegan.

A vegan wouldn’t buy leather shoes or woolen sweaters. Someone on a plant-based diet would.

Dogs taste better anyways. Can’t beat a good Elwood’s steak!

This kid is good.

A comparison I typed up 7 years ago that seems to have helped a few people choose between Dawnguard vs Volkihar.

Dawnguard gets:

  • Pet huskies
  • Pet armoured trolls
  • Master Level trainers in Archery, Heavy Armor, Restoration, and Smithing.
  • A couple followers
  • Better crossbows
  • Easier access to Dwarven and Elemental bolts
  • Easier access to the spells Stendarr's Aura and Vampire's Bane
  • Chance to convince Serana to cure her vampirism.
  • Attacked by Volkihar Vampires. (I think) Guards/Citizens will get involved with the fight, risking their own lives to help.

Volkihar gets:

  • Pet death hounds
  • Master Two-Handed trainer and Expert speech trainer
  • Thralls in the castle you can feed on
  • The Ring of the Erudite, Ring of The Beast, Amulet of The Gargoyle, and Amulet of Bats
  • The Bloodstone Chalice, to enhance your vampiric powers
  • A free player home with merchants (the castle itself)
  • The chance to turn your spouse into a vampire
  • Easier access to Necromantic Healing and Heal Undead
  • Attacked by the Danguard in the wild. Guards/citizens won't help with the fight.

Both sides get:

  • Serana as a follower
  • Auriel's Bow and Bloodcursed arrows
  • Access to Vampire Lord form and Bloodcursed Arrows*
  • Durnehviir
  • Radiant quests to kill vampires**
  • As long as Serana is still a vampire ** Yes, Members of Clan Volkihar will request that you go kill vampires. Don't think the Dawnguard are the only ones upset at random vampires attacking towns!
