In practice many people have 40h/w contracts and then get extra days off (35h/ w being the standard, you save 5h per week) which amounts to an extra 15 days I think over a year.

So it was a real assassination attempt, but luckily Trump had a vial of fake blood on him? You're sure you're in position to call others stupid?

Congratulations, now you are depleting our planet's resources even faster.

Do you have any evidence that "the industry" has made the change? My personal experience says the opposite. Unless you mean "new repositories use the new default name" which says more about people simply not caring rather than anything else.

No one is offended by that word, at some point we need to stop wasting time on pointless debates and move on. If I start tweeting that I find "main" offensive are we going to have to find another name?

Newspapers predate the internet I've heard, and even European newspapers have online presence now. Why would any of that get worse with a more sovereign EU?

If you're talking social media, then more control is required. This is pretty much the only reason the topic is even brought up at all. I'd much rather have our courts control speech than Nazis.

This is absolutely not true. Europeans not investing and selling off every bit of innovation they produce to american vulture capitalists is the reason we are behind.

Also what have tech companies to do with the environment? Sure now the AI BS is a strain on energy consumption, but it's not like EU started lagging only since 2022. China is doing generally much bettet wrt electrification than eg the Germans.

Because in exchange for ruining Europe they were given massive investments from the US. But now that the boom is over the Nazis are back to being trendy. Germans are the most shameless people I've seen when it comes to racism, it's quite astonishing

Refuser de couvrir les soins des fumeurs serait un bon bonus, mais je doute que nos lobbys autorisent ça

The website says "We worry about security, so you don't have to." (aka some corporate speak) and then links to the company's security@whatever email so this comment from the article author is in extremely bad faith.

Hi friends, Not sure whether this little tool could be of use to anyone here, but I thought it might be interesting to share.

I was running into problems on my VPS due to high-memory usage, which led to my email server going down with all the consequences that come with it. I tried using Grafana Agent to monitor the server's state, but with 2GB memory, the tool's footprint was creating more problems than anything else, so I reinvented my own, square, low-memory footprint, wheels.

Cheers everyone.

Merci !
