Try sunflower seed butter and honey!

Not if you eat it right away!

Rather, the overarching idea in Nosedive is that the flawed system pushes people to misbehave in terrible ways; it encourages you to step back, zoom out, and be more in horror at the whole thing from the start to end, rather than just at the protagonist's actions. Same with the episode White Bear, etc.

I did not know, thanks!

Man, I wish I could just skip S1, then. If I can't then I may never see it as there is so much else out there!

Hmm... point taken.

[–] Prathas@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 week ago

No, it's not! Did you merely read a synopsis? Those things leave so much out.

Shoot. Ironic! I didn't know how to check... I wonder why they unlinked...

Oh, that one was... yeah, I would not have been hooked off that one, personally. I would definitely reconsider if you're at all willing. Maybe try Black Museum. Hmm... not sure of which you might like the most, but USS Callister is widely renowned, as far as I know.

Same (re: Dark). I'd rather just rewatch Steins;Gate.

It has classics from Backgammon (and its multiplayer equivalent, Ludo) to Terraforming Mars and up to modern titles released this year. Many are totally free to play with just an account. Some are paywalled behind premium access, but you only need one person at the table with a premium subscription to start the game, and then everyone else can participate for free.

You can play in real time with people or turn-based across days at a dozen different virtual tables simultaneously (it notifies you, either by email or other settings, whenever it's your turn).

It handholds you through legal moves, so you can use the platform to learn new games. Some of my in-person board game purchases came from games I learned here online!
