Welcome! You're going to find a lot of content that fits your interests.

I find it helpful to browse all initially to help you find new groups. You'll know stuff that doesn't fit without clicking.

Christ, you need some help. Seriously. Consider talking to a professional about this.

Thanks very much for the link, I'd never heard the anecdotes about the song before.

I find the cover equally great. I think there's a ton of covers on Spotify of the song as well.

I've never been to a concert but I've loved them for decades. Did you watch the videos on their YT channel where they got their new drummer?

I feel we're beating a dead horse here but yes, you're asking too much if you expect the entire world to stop sharing a joke that harms nobody because you don't like it. That is simply not how the world works.

And that's totally ok, you're allowed to not like things. In this situation, however, nothing will change because of your dislike. The decades of the joke will remain and people will continue to use the phrase.

No apostrophe in Americans, as you're not indicating possessiveness of the next word.

You're not getting out of Georgia that easy.

The title words "Back to"

I think there's a pass in effect when the band itself started the catch phrase. It's just a funny little tongue-in-cheek joke between the band and fans.

In December 1989, Primus recorded their first studio album: Frizzle Fry, which the band self-funded with the profits from sales of Suck on This.[11][18] In 1990, the band signed a one-album deal with Caroline Records to release Frizzle Fry on condition that Caroline also obtained the rights to reissue Suck on This.[13][19] The band then spent the year touring North America and Europe in support of bands such as 24-7 Spyz, the Pixies and Jane's Addiction,[21] and soon attracted attention from a number of major record labels.[9][13][18] They signed to Interscope Records in 1991.[11][13][19]

It was during these early years that the band developed their iconic catchphrase "Primus sucks".[11][22] According to Claypool, this began as fans of the band would compliment them, and Claypool would reply "Nah, we suck".[11] The band then started introducing themselves on stage by saying "We're Primus, and we suck",[19] and fans quickly adopted the phrase, shouting "Primus sucks" at the group as a sign of affection.[11][13] Audiences also began chanting the phrase at the band's concerts, both before the start of the show and as a call for an encore.[19][22] The band embraced it and began printing and selling t-shirts with "Primus sucks" written on them.[19][22] Claypool, talking about the phrase, said "I think it's the greatest thing [...] somebody can come right up to me and say, 'You guys really suck.' And I would just take it as a compliment."[19]

I prefer Musk over Trump.

I don't care for either person. Musk's history, like suing the actual founders of Tesla so he could call himself the founder, calling someone trying to rescue children a pedophile, making a fake tunneling company to halt public transport progress in the area, all of his childish antics like canceling Tesla orders of people he doesn't like, his retweets of batshit crazy conspiracies ... etc ad naseum; unfortunately the list of reasons he's a distasteful individual goes on and on.

Regarding his politics, I have no input as it's a topic I don't follow but I do believe persons that rich hold money and power over any alliance to a partisan group.

Unfortunately, our Lord and Savior, Donald Jesus Trump does not.

As an aside: Man, your username got a lot funnier in the last few days, didn't it?
