I don't think you understand the definition of common sense.
YouShouldSeeMyAlt
Ok, but you're still technically (and factually) wrong.
@xeekei@lemmy.zip is right.
An acronym is a word formed from the initial letters of other words and pronounced as a single word.
An abbreviation is a shortened version of a word or phrase used to save time and space, avoid repetition, or follow convention.
All acronyms are abbreviations, but not all abbreviations are acronyms.
SMH and ATM are both abbreviations. NASA, radar, laser etc. are all acronyms.
Density and cultural norms in general are definitely a factor.
If I was out and about in my normal area where I live in the US and someone got close enough to pick my pocket I'd be on high alert because they are way inside the normal personal space bubble here.
Lmao. Did I already seen your alt? Is it lilbokchoy?
I don't know what that is. My alt died on 7/1 with Lemm.ee.
Good to see you continue to get defensive and struggle to remain civil.
Now I will block you, little child.
I'm happy to be corrected
Ha! I've looked at your comment history and modlog and you're really not. You get defensive and have difficulty remaining civil. I'm done with you, goodbye.
Respondents were selected from YouGov’s opt-in panel to be representative of all U.S. citizens.
It's literally in the methodology statement for the survey…
Methodology: This article includes findings from two U.S. News surveys conducted by YouGov on two nationally representative samples of 1,000 U.S. adult citizens interviewed online from January 14-20, 2022. The first survey included questions on groups involving race, education, income, family, gender, and sexuality, while the second survey included questions on religion, politics, and other miscellaneous groups. The samples were weighted according to gender, age, race, and education based on the 2018 American Community Survey, conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau, as well as 2016 and 2020 Presidential votes (or non-votes). Respondents were selected from YouGov’s opt-in panel to be representative of all U.S. citizens. Real proportions were taken from a variety of sources, including the U.S. Census Bureau, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, YouGov’s internal poll results, and the results of other well-established polling firms. Most estimates were collected within the past three years; the oldest is from 2009. Because the real estimates presented cover a range of time periods, they may differ from actual population sizes at the time our survey was conducted.
From the actual survey data in the linked article:

The question was favorite antihero.
An antihero (sometimes spelled as anti-hero or two words anti hero) or anti-heroine is a character in a narrative (in literature, film, TV, etc.) who may lack some conventional heroic qualities and attributes, such as idealism and morality. Although antiheroes may sometimes perform actions that most of the audience considers morally correct, their reasons for doing so may not align with the audience's morality.
Perhaps a post titled "Who is your favorite antihero?" Isn't the best place for you if you're just looking for reasons to be offended.
There is cross-platform play between PC (including Linux and Mac) and mobile devices (iOS and Android). For other platforms like Nintendo Switch and Xbox, crossplay is not available, meaning you can only play with others on the same console
You should be able to play co-op across PCs regardless of OS but console versions are not cross compatible.
Lol
