Right now Discord, Slack, and other chat platforms seem to be becoming dominant. But now everything is not only locked away from the open web, but also ephemeral.

Mastodon seems to be doing pretty well and continuing to grow. Lemmy seems to have been stagnant for many months now though. I guess we're waiting on Reddit to piss their users off about something again before we'll see another surge here.

Sigh, so is Mozilla just like Google now? Can't trust any services to stick around?

PS5 came out in 2020, PS6 is expected in 2028 or โ€™29. We're right at the half way point. Seems about just right really

Yep, pretty damn messed up. They put out like 3 or 4 of them before I guess enough people complained about the overt propaganda targeting minors

Well, I mention that type of psuedo console device within the video. But I think it's going to be a third option.

But yes, if Valve came out with their own full fledged console, the Xbox would have a big problem. And it's the operating system they fear the most. If SteamOS picks up traction beyond just the SteamDeck, Windows is in trouble

Rumors say the next Xbox will be a handheld. As while MS executives say it will be their most powerful system yet. Which is it? This video speculates on what this all could mean

The Verge was a breathe of fresh air when it first launched. The rest of tech news had enshitified pretty well at the time. But now they've been around long enough to be the establishment rather than the disruptor

Yup, came here to say something similar. The author completely lost me when I got to the part talking down about Mastodon

In my new video [OC], I recount the rise and fall of E3, and what kind of legacy it has left behind. And then I go through the one time I got to go back in 2001

This is my very first YouTube video! ๐Ÿ˜Š

I can't wait for the Pro! But many ask, What's the point? I try to answer this question and discuss how it will benefit the entire gaming industry even if most people don't buy one.

The Cost - Not For Me [hard rock] [2024]

El Estepario Siberiano's new band https://song.link/s/6QxCFUl7u9Vzk8ALN8m3bf

I'm new to the area and would love to meet people interested in this kind of synthrock music. Or at least to hear about some local/regional bands with something similar going on.

(I'm not seeing any Portland music communities yet, so hopefully this is okay here)
