Another almost guaranteed way of converting someone to the fuck cars mentality, ride a bike on the road and around traffic.

In relation to your post in the past I have worked as a parking CEO (civil enforcement officer - modern name for traffic warden)

We had to do school watches every day, covering different schools within our area and issuing fines to people that try to stop / park in areas around schools, particularly the yellow zig zags directly at the exits of the school.

The amount of abuse you got every time you were near a school, these idiots don't seem to realise you are there to try and enforce rules that help keep their children safe as well as others. Parents are some of the most entitled pieces of shit, especially around schools.

Like you say as well, most of these fucks driving to pick up their little shits live less than 5 minutes by car from the school.

Fuck them and their cars!

I suppose that is what you get when you base your article on reddit opinions. Apparently a raspberry pi is one of the best gadgets I can get for my bike. If you say so xD

Lol wut. Literally anywhere you live in the world if you have a casual conversation with someone they generally expect you to have some knowledge of the local geography.

Ah I see. Well the bike came with 23 or 29 iirc from that link. So you are only adding up to about 15mm outside diameter. Whilst having narrower rims will change the way the tyre acts in terms of the way it squishes and reacts under pressure it will be pretty negligible to you as you've said you aren't chasing times or competing etc. If you were getting a considerably larger tyre it may be advisable to get wider rims for them to sit properly on but as it is you should be fine :)

That website is shit, it doesn't have much in the way of helpful specs so I looked up the manufacturers US website and it makes sense why the bike direct site has shot details, so does the manufacturer!

Usually a bike would list the relevant details such as Max tyre width, bb size, seat clamp size etc where as this doesn't so it may be a case of having to buy it and try it.

As another poster said you need to have some space to either side of the tyre but a cusory measure up should be able to tell you if it is likely to fit. Bear in mind if your wheel isn't perfectly true or something similar that could cause it to rub.

In terms of the tyre fitting the rims however then that should fit just fine. The bike is listed as having 700c wheels already, so unless you have switched them out for something else then the linked tyres are listed as 700c as well.

I'd say buy one and try it out!

PS Plus was always like this, maybe they only had one tier before and the prices have been jacked up since but it was always the case that the free games each month were trash and nothing anyone really wanted to play. I used to pay back in the Vita days and would "claim" everything I could but I very rarely played anything they gave away.

There is a project that repurposes a blackberry keyboard to make a detachable android keyboard that I have saved somewhere. Phones are too big as it is however and adding that on, plus the cost being about 50% again over what I spent on the actual phone I'm not super keen on that.

I just want a blackberry key three xD

Jeez everyone carries a lot of shit in their pockets.

I carry my bank card in a side pocket down by my right knee and occasionally keys in the front left pocket.

I don't even want the slide mechanism, just the keyboard. Blackberry keytwo is the greatest phone / form factor of recent years imo

I ride a Ragley Trig which I would recommend if the company hadn't been shuttered. It has been a good year since I was looking at bikes and can't remember anything else I was looking at to offer as options.

However I do have a tyre recommendation in the Panaracer Gravel King. There are a couple of versions but I run the 650b x 48c Gravel King Slicks for all on road duty. They are a great, fast rolling but larger volume tyre for that additional comfort and make for a great training tyre sacrificing a little speed for that extra comfort. There is also one or possibly 2 other versions of the Gravel King that have more tread for more off road capability and based on my experience with the slicks (approx 500km so far) they are definitely worth having a look at.

Not that I have read about but I also haven't looked to try and find out if it is a thing. I play everything I'm ripping at no faster than 2x in the hopes that it looks like normal enough activity whilst still saving me some time.

As I have said though I have been using soggfy for over a year now, ripping probably around 5000 tracks at a guess and had no issues what so ever :)

Yeh,i had the titan for around a year and a half. It was a decent piece of hardware with a keyboard that was fairly decent (not as good as blackberry still).

The problem with them is the software and support. The keyboards just about work but aren't integrated into the whole experience like you got with a blackberry. It always felt a bit awkward and some choices were just weird, as if the programmers never tried actually using what they programmed.

I tried to put a custom ROM on mine but could never get the boot loader to unlock as it should have so ultimately I gave up as the positives for me of having a keyboard were being outweighed by the jank

Whole album this is from "The Ruff Guide to Genre Terrorism" is great!

Bird - Zero AM (lemmy.dbzer0.com)
submitted 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) by theskyisfalling@lemmy.dbzer0.com to c/bicycling@lemmy.world

After a conversation in this community and people showing off their bikes I wanted to share mine too. My Zero AM made by Bird.

Started like this in October -

Over the winter I stripped it down and painted it all myself in pink with a yellow pearl. Replaced a few bits that needed it like headset and BB and serviced everything else.

Current spec is:

XT group set with Raceface Aeffect cranks and Raceface Chester pedals.

DMR wingbars, grips and stem with a nukeproof headset and Rockshox Revelation upfront

Halo Vapour 50 rims with Maxxis Minion DHF 2.8 on the Front and Vittoria Mazza 2.6 on the rear

Generic dropper post and saddle.

I even colour coded my brake levers -

I'll post my commuter / training bike after I've given it a good clean next, if anyone is interested :)

Community about says mainly bird pictures so not sure if this is welcome or not but I don't have a more appropriate community saved and relevant content whilst the communities are still small I would imagine is welcome?

If not please remove or suggest somewhere it would be better posted :)

A good North American example of some "Real" Dubstep to help get the community going. Check out the rest of Nahliths music, it is some good shit!
