I've been waiting for months but Lenovo hasn't announced them yet. Were they canceled or Lenovo is still optimizing those zen 4 chips to avoid sleep issues?

So i am facing an issue on chrome when hardware accelaration is on.

Chrome keeps flickering a black screen and lags a lot when hardware accelaration is on.

Windows 11 animations seems to be affected as well.

When hardware accelaration is off everything is working perfect but it is preferred to be on cause it releases load from the cpu.

Everyting is smooth on firefox who is not chromium based even with hardware accelaration on.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

As the title says, are there any AMD laptops with RTX graphics that are on par with Macbook features like speaker quality, battery life and build quality at a reasonable value? The price isn't concern but it has to be RTX 3060 minimum for gaming and video editing or something similar this year.

I try to avoid getting a gaming laptop that looks like a spaceship and the QC has to be decent. Other options are eGPU support and USB C or better, and it has to be available in the Philippine market.

I’ve been looking near daily for this over a year, and I have yet to find anything that meets these basic requirements:

Ryzen 7 Zen3+ or Zen 4

16GB RAM

512GB or 1TB SSD

400nit 16:10 13-14.5” display (anything above 1080p)

Edit: Price range up to $1200 (before sale).

I saw the recent launch of the RedmiBook Pro 15 and the announcement of the Yoga Air 14s, both of which are literally perfect except for the fact that there’s nothing (that I can recall) that’s equivalent in the USA.

The closest contender that I may just buy is the updated Lenovo Slim 7 Pro 14 as it goes on sale for $799 (very good deal), but that has a downgraded display from the year prior.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and would like to hear some thoughts as well

Looking at the direct comparison the only thing different about 7735U is slightly higher boost speed which doesn't look like it's gonna make a noticeable difference.

Choosing between HP Pavillion Aero 13 with 7735U and Asus Zenbook S13 OLED with 6800U, similarly priced, i'd rather go with Asus for the chassis design and keyboard, if the performance is nearly identical. Unless i'm missing something about 7735U that gives it an advantage?

Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 14.5" (2023) review with Product Manager: Is this laptop worth the hype? - YouTube

Here the product specifications.

It really seems the perfect laptop and I want one (32GB LPDDR5x-6400 RAM, 1TB M.2 2280 SSD, Non-Touch, Tidal Teal variant).

Still not available in Italy tho :(

If you find a place to order one within Europe let us know!

Ala 3600Mhz on the desktop Ryzen 5000 series & 6000Mhz on the 7000. (Maybe I just answered my own question).

I'm thinking of upgrading the ram to 32 GB for my 7840hs laptop.

Edit: Sticking with the 5600Mhz kit my laptop came with for now, thank you all for your answers.

I don't know if this is the right sub for this but I would like your help. I'm looking for a laptop as I'm starting university in the fall. I'm going to use it both at school and home (since I don't have a desktop computer). I need a computer that can handle CAD, maybe some light gaming and last a few years (minimum 3 years).

I have been eyeing these models and would like your input on them or even suggest something better or upcoming.

Yes, I will probably be able to reduce the prices of the laptops by up to 20% with student discounts and coupons, and I know that I will probably need a docking station for the Yoga Slim.

In addition to those two, I have also seen this offer for the IdeaPad with slightly worse specs but with a 3050.

The prices are all in SEK and include VAT

The laptop is Lenovo Xiaoxin 14 Pro 2023 Ryzen. I believe the global version is called Ideapad 5 Pro 14 (2023).

UK link

And it came with 32GB 6400Mhz RAM and 1TB SSD. For the price only around $850. No more stupid 8GB RAM soldered + 256/512GB or maxed out only at 16GB RAM.

Display is 400nits 120hz 2.8K and 16:10. Battery is 75Wh. It has dual cooling fans even for non-dgpu models.

Hope that global customers also will get 32GB/1TB without the need to import the CN models.

New model with zen 4 v old zen 3 model

What gains would we be seeing with this hardware update (all differences mentioned above). Im a Engineering Uni student so battery and display are the most important factors to me. Which one will y'all reccomend to go for?

Also i dont understand why they wont introduce their 4050 model which they have listed on one of their website, () Any estimate on when this will be out?
