Does it require more than one slave?

This maybe super unoriginal and already existing theory. But is there any academical thesis or paper explaining gender in two axis plane? One axis being rigid gender of what one identify as, and the other being of what one present oneself as. (Both could be rigid or fluid)

I was reading about dimensional analysis and this thought struck my mind. I am not super knowledgeable in gender fluidity (you can tell). Just want to see if in general there is better understanding of gender spectrum than the one I personally internalized.

What is the ownership structure, is it fully Chinese controlled, and would Unkel Sam be able to trace posts on there back to US users?

I am mostly curious if any gun related checks do (I have some but been a long while since I bought new and not from someone I know), but really would be nice to know about other situations. Been thinking of being more serious in my personal studies (aka my backlog of books), and even try joining a party like the PSL. Just thought about asking after the topic of the "Red Scare" and McCarthy hearings got randomly brought up while hanging with some friends.

I know that the question (or some form of it) has been found unconstitutional and removed from things in the past. But would still be good to be aware of when it might be brought up or asked in an indirect way to avoid legal technicalities that stop it being asked that way.

Heard of the movies they've made for more international audiences like The Battle at Lake Changjing, but nothing more

Good day comrades and welcome to my first Hexbear post.

Like many others here, I have participated with delight in the Western invasion/migration to 小红书. Hearing from the Chinese people directly has truly restored some of my faith in humanity.

Also like many others I am grateful every day for their revolution and steadfast and peaceful development over the decades, especially lately with climate change looming and no other nations rising to the challenge.

Thirdly, after understanding CIA media operations and anticommunist agitprop I now don't personally object to what we call "censorship" over here. It seems legitimate to me for the dictatorship of the proletariat to manage the "Overton Window", (lest it be managed instead by capital and its convenient alliance with jingoism).

Now for the hard questions.

I spoke with a Chinese citizen and acquaintance about all this. Aside from their reluctance to discuss politics I was also troubled by their assessment of the labor situation in China.

According to them, there are unions but they are state controlled and useless. They say the work culture is brutal and unsustainable and that doing true organizing will result in imprisonment.

I am coming to this question from a place of wanting to learn from the premier Marxist country and government, but I can't make it reconcile in my head. I would perhaps ask this question on 小红书 but I don't think this discourse would be welcome in that community.

Were unions weaponized by foreign powers in China's past? Is my acquaintance biased/unrepresentative? Is the connection between organized labor and Marxism less ironclad than I always assumed? What do you think comrades?

My beat to fuck CRV clicker always works in the parking lot at work but almost never in front of my apartment and I've tried using it 200 different ways in both.

And I got it replaced recently so I know it ain't that.

I don’t know if there’s something I’m missing but it’s not clear to me where the tracking link is with those links, or if there’s even a tracking link at all.

Don't most dogs "go" inside a house before they're housetrained? How do you then train them to not "go" in a store or mall without them failing at least a few times?

Also, the mall around my place is HUGE and people stay in there for hours. Do dogowners take bathroom breaks for their dogs outside every two hours? What do you do with your dogs bathroom needs for all that time?

I was thinking “Vladimir LANin”

Anyone watched it? Is it good?

I'm halfway through the first episode and it is looking pretty OK.

Premise

In an alternate timeline in 1969, Soviet cosmonaut Alexei Leonov becomes the first human to land on the Moon. This outcome devastates morale at NASA but also catalyzes a U.S. effort to catch up. With the Soviet Union emphasizing diversity by including a woman in subsequent landings, the United States is forced to match pace, training women and minorities who were largely excluded from the initial decades of U.S. space exploration. Each subsequent season takes place 10 years later, with season two taking place in the 1980s, season three taking place in the 1990s, and season four taking place in the 2000s.

Most of the videos I came across are just photos or otherwise very hastily prepared. Like, not even anything that appears to have taken some effort. There was one video that was a little more well produced and appeared to be a bit of a thirst trap? Seems suspicious as fuck. I disliked a couple and the algorithm got rid of the rest for me, but I’m curious if anyone else is seeing this.

I have a library of movies, TV shows and music for local hosting. Right now I have a script that uses cp to copy newly added media files to a second, identical drive in another room as a backup. there has to be a better way to do this.

ignoring cloud storage and RAID, what are some command line tools that could ensure that the integrity of the files remains intact? assuming the drive continues to function properly.

I caught a video on YouTube by a guy monologuing about how horrible working in an Amazon warehouse is. I then noticed how many more there are by other commentators, with tens of thousands of views. Even Joe Rogan (a.k.a Bro Brogan) has a YouTube clip with Krystal Ball that's about the mistreatment of Amazon workers. This clip in particular has over 3.5 million views. That especially got me thinking about how many warehouse, delivery, and general service-sector workers are simultaneously right-wing and depressed by their work. I've read "What's the Matter With Kansas," "The Reactionary Mind," and some other material on conservative ideology, but I still wonder why feeling alienated at work does not more often lead to a reversal and radicalization of erstwhile MAGAs and right-wing guys. I assume it's all individualized and they don't care about workmates. So, despite feeling dehumanized at work, do they merely tell themselves it's a temporary stage until their BitCoin, NFTs, or other crypto investments pay out? Are they limited from hating bosses and landlords for the simple reason that soon enough they will be one, or both?

A state trying to convince it's people of x political belief isn't an inherently bad thing. Going "oh this is propaganda" is a really bad way of trying to delegitimize a narrative. Like... no shit? Who cares that it's propaganda? Point out what's actually wrong with it

Seems to me it's only guilty of the same data scraping for marketing purposes that Meta is... maybe even less so as I always found TikToks advertising less gross than Instagrams.

Both suck but TikTok is slightly less suck.

Is it really a security thing or is it a "We are getting pressure from US companies to remove competition" thing?

I think it'd be nice to try a non-NATO social network, but I don't use TikTok, so I was wondering if RedNote (or another social network) was more like reddit/lemmy/tumblr (not Twitter).

373

Assuming you’re going to replace it with anything, where are you going. I downloaded rednote which is kind of like Chinese instagram because it’s a perfect F-you to meta and everyone else to go straight back to Chinese tech. I’ve also heard the names Neptune, lemon8 and a few others thrown around. Where are you guys headed?

(However I believe we’re truly losing something important that won’t be replaced, TikTok was one of a kind in the fact that everyone was on it despite it not being American)

The person who told me I used it offensively didnt really explain why to me. I've avoided saying the word for years straight now. I still don't know how to say the word ethnic appropriately.

I can't help but think I might have said it with a colonial perspective

Btw, why is it perfectly fine here?
