Register for the party that aligns with you most, and get your boots on the ground by volunteering, attending events, and becoming a registered party member.

Being a registered party member also allows you the opportunity to become involved in the process of choosing the best candidates for the next election.

The referendum thing is an unmistakable nod towards the separatists. It basically halves the number of ultraconservative fanatics she needs to round up in order to make her "national unity crisis" momentarily appear like it wasn't completely made up.
