she was taken to the border at San Ysidro, where she was presented with self-deportation paperwork.

"But when Juli refused to sign the paperwork, when Juli demanded to see a judge, when Juli demanded to speak to an attorney, she was punished," the attorney said. "She was taken back to an unmarked van along with other travelers who were also insisting on their rights, and taken to a warehouse where she was only given water. A warehouse where she was not given food. A warehouse, where men and women were held together. A warehouse without any law enforcement employee, without any official there present," he added.

We're paying for this ethnic cleansing campaign. Tax dollars are going to abducting brown folks at gunpoint.

led crowds in chants of “free, free Palestine” and “death, death to the IDF” [The BBC said:] “The antisemitic sentiments expressed by Bob Vylan were utterly unacceptable ... " [Starmer said:] “appalling hate speech.”

"Free Palestine" is not antisemitic. Criticism of a nation state's armed forces is not antisemitic. Especially when those armed forces are objectively committing genocide.

America loses

That's exactly what trump wants.

A bag of big macs congealing on his desk, a victim of sex trafficking in his bed and some news on tv that will make putin happy.

[The police] identified an 18-year-old as the car's owner. He was arrested on a warrant connected to a prior DUI charge from Denver.

What they didn't get from the car's owner was a confession...

"The story that was relayed to me was that the three people who were in the vehicle, all three claimed to have been too intoxicated to know who was driving," said Johnson.

The 3 year statue of limitations was allowed to expire because the 18 year old car owner with a prior DUI claimed to be too drunk to remember if he was driving and his two friends said the same thing.

Democratic elite shitting themselves at the prospect of winning an election.

The Democratic establishment is seriously onsidering backing either a corrupt sex offender or a corrupt trump ally over an energetic, charismatic young candidate with a platform that enjoys majority support.

The rich have two parties, people have none.

policies that ~~support growth~~ only exist to further empower the rich, such as deregulation and low taxes

Fixed it for you, cnbc.

Their CEO elaborated: "Did I leave your grandma broke and freezing? Did I start a wildfire that burned your entire town? Come at me, please, so I personally watch you shot dead."

This is a death caused by tech companies' steadfast refusal to properly moderate their platforms. Humans are social primates and we will always have a strong reaction to our social environment.

Yeah I thought it was monopsony but my autocorrect gave me that incorrect spelling and I didn't bother to double check.

Actual farmers are usually held hostage by the agro-giants who buy their product. In most markets there's a Monoposony - like a monopoly but a single buyer who can set prices and terms, rather than a single seller.

Industry behavior is driven by these companies who have all the power. They leave farmers with all of the risk and take all the profit for themselves.

"If a DSA member like Mamdani were to win ... it would be terrible for the city," reads the Third Way memo. "Do New Yorkers really want socialist city-run grocery stores?"

According to an April survey by the Climate & Community Institute and Data for Progress, they do. Two-thirds of New Yorkers said they support the creation of municipal grocery stores ... including 72% of Democratic voters ... Third Way executive vice president Matt Bennett insisted in an interview with Politico on Saturday that a Mamdani victory would allow Republicans to attach the Democratic Party "to ideas that are outside of the mainstream" on a national level.

Just classic establishment Dems here: attacking a wildly popular policy and supporting a corrupt sex offender to avoid fascists calling you a commie.

Chinuk Wawa, also called Chinook Trade Jargon, is an incredibly simple language with like ~1000 words and basically no grammar. It's a pidgin of several native languages with some english and french influence.

The language was spoken by settler and native alike, until the railroad arrived and English overwhelmed it.

The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde built a very nice app to help learn this very important part of our region's heritage.
