My fucking idiot stepdad convinced me to get a degree in goo science around 2001-ish, saying goo was only going to get more popular after Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards, Flubber, etc. etc. THAT was fucking wrong and now I need contingencies in case I get laid off.

Was thinking about trying to invent either a goo-based cereal or maybe goo pest traps, but I don't think I have the funds or wherewithal for that.

So, I've had moments in the past where I might have spent 30 seconds thinking about this subject but ultimately I don't give a fuck about competitive sports so my analysis usually ends up being, all competitive sports should be banned because competitive sports are dumb. Which is admittedly a neanderthal take.

But yeah, now the global athletic showdown is going down and seemingly everyone in my immediate vicinity keeps clutching their pearls and I guess I'm sick of not being able to advocate for trans comrades appropriately and articulate a proper response.

So what's a better response besides, "who cares?" Am I missing something? Like, if all things were equitable, what would or should competitions look like?

I'm not a very angry person, I don't really have it in me to be genuinely pissed most of the time. Sometimes I'll get irritated, and I can usually kinda DBT my way through it, but honestly I'm really pissed at my ex. The more I think about everything horrible she did and continues doing, the more I kinda spiral into being pissed and it's not helping me at all but I don't really know how to decompress all of it. I'm rightfully pissed, she did some truly nuclear shit I'd need content warnings for, and having that anger is healthy at some level. But like I said, I need to get my mind off this shit so I don't become a bitter divorced dad lol

I've gotten two completely different narratives on the issue

Video essays about games used to be cool. Now it seems like thats the only video essays new people put out.

Why?

I'm assuming just because it's low hanging fruit and an easily accessible from of pop culture?

Regardless it's getting to be too much. It's no longer interesting if every other video is trying to be deep and analytical about video games.

I really like playing games, just there's too many video essays on them now.

I know that here I am pretty loud and obnoxious, but IRL I actually have like, really bad social anxiety. Especially when talking to guys. (Actually come to think of it it's usually only happens when I have to talk to guys I find attractive )

Sometimes it's fine, but other times it's like my brain does a blue screen of death and I can't even think of words to say.

Is there a way to get my brain working normal in these situations? I already taken anti-anxiety meds and they help a little, but not always.

Any tips to stop my goofy ass brain from crashing?
