It just seems like a mediocre show for boomers, what makes it so popular in memes?

Its becoming clear that China is on track to match or overtake the USA as a global superpower. Since like half of our economy is based on Chinese imports - is there even anything the bourgeoisie / military / intelligence agencies can do about it? Do you think we're going to move more towards conflict or is China going to pimp slap us and tell us to know our role or they won't make any iphones for us or whatever.

Real conflict seems very unlikely but there are psychos like John Bolton who will refuse to accept that USA isn't numba 1 anymore.

For example, there’s no easy way of bypassing ads on YouTube mobile. But a lot of them don’t actually say the product name. Refusing to look at it is my one, small, micro resistance.

Don't be too specific, obviously.

I hate the injection of personality into technological instances or common hiccups in modern Internet culture. My heart monitor watch shows me a smiley face while booting up, Github buttons spam "Buy me a coffee!", Reddit says shit like, "Don't panic" when a webpage doesn't load. Shut the fuck up and leave me alone. I am so tired of being surrounded by these pale imitations of reality, like I need to be pacified with pseudo-emotions or meme culture every step of my day.

As I kid I remember it meaning you smoked a lot of crack, but I'm pretty sure now it means the same thing as "cool as hell"? Am I using it right?

I figured out "yeet" recently by playing Among Us with my kids, so that's cool. But I also don't know what "vibe check" means. I've had people explain it to me in detail and I still don't get it. That one might be unknowable.

Like Soviet Union, PRC, DPRK, Viet Nam? From my understanding these weren't/aren't really ruled by the people but by a wealth(ier) elite, they use systems of money, have (limited) private property, etc.

Which, imo, is capitalism or (its friendlier variant) socialism (which has some communist features like universal healthcare for example), but is not communism.

Isn't the goal of communism supposed to be anarchist communism (no state [government], also no rich/poor divide)? Where nothing is owned, either by the state or by individuals?

I didn't think statism is compatible with communism.

Wouldn't be good for protestors. Wouldn't be good for anarchists. Wouldn't be good for people using someone else's ID for transit. If you're on this site, chances are you wouldn't be getting tax breaks for community service; you'd be getting blacklisted from trains for jaywalking or missing a dinner reservation. Like fuck, I'd consider myself a Tankie, but I don't see an upside remotely worth the cost of this.

Not to mention the surveillance required to make social credit viable. 'Actual credit in America is even worse!' is a bullshit argument too.

If I want to have plans to actually leave the United States in the next four years, where should I be looking? I have hereditary Lithuanian citizenship so I might be able to get myself in the Schengen Area with that alone but I'm lucky enough to have expertise in an unspecified industrial technology, with the caveat that I am transgender.

Right now my two choices seem to be European (Germany?) or somewhere in E Asia (Vietnam, PRC). How realistic are either of these options, namely Vietnam or the PRC.

Either the podcast or the subreddit.
