Having looked at various browsers and what calls they make, I noticed on Firefox and other android browsers that when Bypass Paywall Clean is installed from main source: https://gitflic.ru/project/magnolia1234/bypass-paywalls-chrome-clean

It makes calls to gitflic.ru quite often wether using a bypass website or not.

Anyone know on what the calls are about and if they are legitimate and or what telemetry is being shared?

Hey all, I'm looking for the CMI plugin for the most recent version of minecraft possible. I do plan to buy it, but want to test it first to make sure it will work for my needs.

Does anyone have any good sources for premium MC Server plugins? I feel like it's a bit of a niche genre.

A fully VPN'ed family member got hit with an automated copyright strike and when looking into how it happened I found out that using the default qBittorrent config with a killswitch-enabled ProtonVPN meant that the home IP address was being leaked. I verified it through a few tools, including ipleak(dot)net's fake magnet link feature which showed both the VPN and home IPs when connected. I'm at best a tinkerer so I'm not sure if this is a Proton-exclusive problem at all, or if the killswitch useage is even relevant, but that's what they were using and figured this all might be worth mentioning since it was certainly a shock to us and not something we've seen brought up before.

The solution was to change which network interface qBittorrent was set to use via "Tools > Preferences > Advanced > Network interface". Which one to pick will depend on the protocol you're using in Proton's client, but unless you're confident in what you're doing I'd recommend testing each with the ipleak(dot)net (or similar) torrent tool until you're only seeing the VPN IP show up.

Hey there, I'm trying to launch RDR2 on PC and keep getting this error message:

The megathread has lots of great options for aggregators, but doesn't have any individual scanlation groups (Asura scans, Drake scans, Dragon tea, etc). Those are great for broad coverage, but when possible I like to read directly from the group that put in the work to translate.

Are there available mods for playing DOOM 2016 and/or DOOM Eternal over the network without licenses? I have no problem creating a VPN to connect everyone. However, as far as I can tell there is no native support for local multiplayer, or even splitscreen.

Now that Denuvo is no longer included, I would be fine with buying one license for either game if it makes things easier by a significant margin. As far as I can tell though, each user would need a license, which is infeasible.

As a secondary concern, how do the two games' multiplayer features compare? I understand DOOM 2016 was better reviewed at the time, but is it worth the older other mechanics? I find DOOM Eternal's singleplayer campaign to be quite good.

I've tried to install the following games:

• The Last of us Part I
• One More Night

but for both, the game installation stuck at around 0.0%, so I think this is not a problem with games per se but maybe with my pc/wine configuration. The fun fact is that, a week ago, I was able to install Clair Obscure Expedition 33 without issue. Can anyone help me?

This is my pc configuration:

• ChachyOS with zen-kernel
• CPU: Ryzen 5 2600X
• GPU: RX 7800 XT
• 16 GB of RAM at 2133 MHz
• 1 TB nvme SSD

I tried the following fixes:

• verify BIN files before installation
• use the Russian language for the installer
• deleted any special character in the folder name of the executable and put such folder in a subfolder of the C drive
• install the game in a subfolder of the C drive
• limit installer to 2 GB of RAM usage
• every wine tricks in the FitGirl troubleshooting page
• use brand-new wine prefix

UPDATE: I resolved this issue launching the setup through Lutris (here's a tutorial)

So, i have a conundrum. I want to play minecraft, but I am absolutely seething at having to log in to my Microsoft account. I've owned Minecraft for over 10 years, but I've grown to despise Microsoft. I want an offline DRM-free Minecraft experience, and I've found versions of Prism launcher that support cracked game data, but I have no idea where to download cracked Minecraft. It's like it doesn't even exist. I'm tech savvy enough to download whatever game I want from the internet... except Minecraft??? Where is Minecraft?!

I'm also willing to simply download legitimate versions through my account one last time and then use a tool to crack them, but I can't find a way of doing that either. I beseech you, Lemmy users, how can I play Minecraft with my girlfriend without Michaelsoft being involved.
