Since according to Bill Ackman the presence of a place you can buy eggs without a 100% markup is going to plunge NYC instantly into a Mad Max / Escape from New York style hellscape, what gangs are we all joining?

Personally I'm thinking the one of slightly sexy cultists who worship bodega cats.

How about you comrades?

Okay I feel so stupid, I only just realized feminine people wear scarves over their heads because it's hot where their place of origin is. I knew that about religious people, but I didnt know why women in India and parts of Africa do. Someone please help me spot other common patterns in terms of clothing. Even culture in general, like some desert cultures discouraging eating shellfish because it spoils too easily in the heat.

It's easy for me to say, "that book is dog shit" but having not read it since I myself was in high school it's hard to go much further than that

Many eldars were already seeking extremes but the dark eldar do not seem to be the norm of that time. Given time would they have eventually have eventually become like drukhari apart from the few exodites?

As the title says, I was reminded of this one article/blog post explaining capitalism and the state in an introductory, casual, meme-filled manner.

It had a bunch of memes to describe the state including what I remember to be the Daniel Radcliffe Guns Akimbo meme.

My current predicament, however, is that combining some of these keywords in a search engine doesnt yield very useful results and so, to my frustration, I can't find it. I do remember somewhat of a line that mentioned that politicians merely manage capitalism, but that's all other than the Daniel Radcliffe meme.

As I am now relatively obsessed with finding this seemingly esoteric, niche article, if anyone remembers where it's from, it would be greatly appreciated and would allow me to move on with my life.

Odd question, I know, but the situation is dire.

@onandrah1@hexbear.net kept updating me about the attack and injuries she and her sisters sustained when their shelter was burned down. Last thing I know is that they were in a private hospital and the staff, while being overtly transphobic, were threatening them with calling the police if they couldn't pay the hospital bills. It's been more than 2 days and I'm getting seriously worried. Does anybody know more?

I dont need anything steel toe or super heavy doody but I do need something waterproof and durable. I drive a paratransit bus for work in the PNW so Im constantly getting out of the bus to help customers and it rains and is wet a lot.

Right now I'm looking at UNRWA: https://donate.unrwa.org/int/en/general

(Not sure I trust my local -- US -- website.)

I have previously been sending my donations to MSF: https://give.doctorswithoutborders.org/campaign/675296/donate

What do you think, Chapo?

Theory can give me out of control feelings of excitement, and that's really bad for me. I've been mostly abstaining for years after reading a few articles. Even with things more psychology related, like Will to Change by Bell Hooks, I try but cannot deal with the raw feelings.

Connecting the dots is so exciting it can be overwhelming. Reading theory makes me want to go around and tell everyone mindblowing facts. Who else has difficulty containing their excitement in a way that can get out of control? How do you calm down? It'd be so good if I could read and chill.

For anyone wondering. I did identify it in the end and it was Dunnock fledgling.

Image provided is a Dunnock fledgling. Perfectly matches what I had yesterday.

So yeah, bird was fine.

This isn't a doomer post, but I'm wondering what assessment comrades here have, given recent developments.

Maybe I just hate them but it really feels that way. I don't have the energy to think about it that hard though

...cus like I hear that and, well, you see the cover image. international-community-1international-community-2

Is it just that so much more of the world is underdeveloped (overexploited) and it's just raw statistics? I guess I could see that explanation. But. Also. I've been to Pheonix.

So I felt like its time for this thread.

As a disclaimer . Im black , bisexual and schizophrenic

I got a bunch of friends and acquaintances. One of them..lets call him Jack.(he is white).. and me get along well enough. We only know each other online, dont even remember how we met tbh, but we go back like I think I’ve known him since 2016 or 2017 or something like that.

I know what he looks like and which state he lives in, but thats pretty much it.

Anyway, Jack and me talk almost daily, mostly about anime and gaming. He lives with his grandparents who he takes care of, has a cat he really seems to love. Also smokes a ton of weed, like daily I think. He’s older than me and I like him (platonically, as a buddy obviously).

Here’s the thing tho. He’s American. Yes, really XD

Not saying all Americans are bad or whatever, but I’m almost sure Jack’s got brainworms. Like, a lot.

Not saying hes a fascist or something. If I had to guess I’d say he’s some weird libertarian type? Like he’s said before he doesn’t like Trump and once talked about how fucked up stuff is for Black people in the US. But he’s also not into liberal politics (probably for bad reasons) and super sceptical of mainstream media... which ok, fair.

But like how the fuck do I even talk to someone like that in good faith? How do you try and push them into a healthier direction.

I’m not tryna turn him into a theory reading communist or whatever, but the lil bit of politics I have picked up from our convos seemed very conspiracy brained. It would probably be easier if he was just like, an MSNBC lib lmao.

Any input and tips welcome. I will say our daily chats help me generally speaking. It helps me with my schizophrenia to have someone to talk to on a basically daily basis. I have other friends (some which have much better politics) but they are usually pretty busy and not always available.

If possible I dont want to cut him out of my life.

One last thing. Jack does seem to think highly of me and probably values our relationship quite a bit

It's small, able to fly short distances but not able to get elevation. It might not be long before it's big enough to fly properly.

Will it eat? Drink? Currently it's in a box with a wire mesh top I've put over it.

The thing will be cat food if I let it outside and there's no way it can get back to its nest.

It's cheaping trying to call for mom but there's no answer.

My thinking is like.. Water, seed (we have a parrot so I have seed)... Hoping it can feed itself or it's probably done for? If it can survive a few days to a week with me then it might get big enough to leave?

Surely it's gotta be even dirtier, otherwise people would be talking about it.
