A lot of male characters in games kind of look like they’re compensating for something. I’ll play any character type though - like the variety.

As someone who played korean MMOs for most of his youth, women were the only choice as every male skin looked like he's wearing painted cardboard lmao.
For me the voice is what matters. Male Commander Shepard, Female V.
I agree that voice is what matters, but I feel that femshep is way better than male shep. Agreed on V, though.
Female V has such an amazing voice oh my god. Not like every other voice actor in the game isn't an absolute genius, but man does she hits the mark all the time
Keanu Reeve's voice acting is pretty sub-par most of the time. And even in Phantom Liberty, especially in the beginning Female V (played by Cherami Leigh) sounded a bit off, as if she needed to find V's voice again after how much time was in between the main game and the DLC. But other than that I have to agree, top-notch work. Made in Poland ;)
It's the best Keanu acting possible! I love the man to bits, he's an absolute treasure and should be cherished, but he can't voice act for shit.
Smaller hitbox ftw

Since the dawn of gaming I always picked the more aesthetic choice, which mostly is the female choice. Never cared about the "u play woman? U gay!" Idiots...
I never understood how me preferring to look at a female figure while playing a game was ever something to question...
Easy! drumroll It is still drumrolling Toxic Masculinity! Those that fear to become gay after a prostate-exam :-)
I'm gay and I still play women characters in most games lol
For me it's not even about gender identity or role playing. If I'm going to spend 200 hours in a 3rd person RPG looking at a character's ass, that ass had better be female.

My man! 🤝
Isn't skyrim FP though?
Skyrim can be played as either, though I personally do prefer 1st person in the case of Skyrim. I specifically said '3rd person RPG' because the point I was making wasn't limited to just Skyrim, and anything played 3rd person is obviously where it's important to my experience of, ah... the game. Yes, totally of the game.
Didn't remember that about Skyrim, thanks.
Exactly! The fact I'm taking oestrogen and wearing pretty clothes is totally unrelated. Still cis BTW.
I notice your pronouns are she/her -- are you a cis woman then?
I'm trans - the "still cis btw" was a little jokey joke
💀
Unrealistic. Lacks modded bazoongas bigger than character's head.
Listen to "lady of the dark" from Sabaton, you'll automatically create a woman character named Milunka whatever gender you are.
You'll be fully immersed and you'll feel Serbian even if you're from another country !
