From Read Luigi Mangione’s Resume - Ken Klippenstein I found https://github.com/lnmangione. At the moment he has 2.5k followers on this account. Which is quite a lot for github, and I am guessing 100% accrued in the past few days. AFAIK there is no way to get the history of the metric.

There is history available on repo "stars". GitHub Star History for the repo lnmangione/Halite-III, which seems to be the most popular:

And they are opening issue reports:

text version of the above (clicky clicky)

Some people are making what seem like legitimate (not jokes/political) PRs in old repos. Very strange.

Update: When logged in to github I notice you cannot actually create an issue or comment on a previously created issue anymore:

Not sure when this was implemented, or by whom.

In the past few days, I feel like I've seen a significant uptick in CEO sympathy comments, comments expressing righteous indignation about how anyone could possibly be celebrating the murder of an innocent widdle guy, etc.

Especially so in the comment sections of official news media posts.

My conspiracy brain take is some billionaire got upset that there was a little too much class solidarity and anti-CEO sentiment going around, and started writing checks to paid troll farm to try and get some control back over the narrative.

McDonald's customer, who spotted United Healthcare CEO killer Luigi Mangione, speaks out (Video) | New York Post

December 10, 2024 | 11:33am

A McDonald’s customer thought his friend was joking when he pointed out alleged UnitedHealthcare CEO killer Luigi Mangione at the fast food joint on Dec. 9 — but it ultimately turned out to be the shooting suspect, he said. The man, identified only as Larry by Fox News, and a group of pals went for their meal at the McDonalds in Altoona, Penn., when one of them noticed a man in the restaurant who looked suspiciously familiar to the gunman who executed executive Brian Thompson in New York City.

Edit

I edited my title too.

McDonald's customer, who spotted United Healthcare CEO killer Luigi Mangione, speaks out (Video) : crime

He’s not the one that snitched. He and his friends (who apparently go to McDonalds everyday) were talking and said they thought it was him, and a worker overheard them and called the cops. He didn’t know the worker had done that until they went back to the McDonalds after Church (…this guy and his bros really love McDonalds).

I endured two minutes of his long and rambling speech to bring you this information.

Is it really possible they'll find an entire dozen people who've never been fucked over by health insurance to preside as jurors over this case?

It's my understanding that the defense and prosecutor both must agree on the selection of jurors. In such a high profile case where the defendant is clearly in the right, is it really possible they'll find the requisite 12 people who've not only been living under a rock these past couple weeks, but also have what's essentially a "neutral stupid" character alignment?

Luigi himself seems to be on this same train of thought given he turned himself in. He had several days to destroy the evidence, but instead he went to McDonalds while cosplaying as the Adjuster, carrying the gun on his person. Surely this implies he won't take a plea deal, right?

In every online community I’ve ever seen, winter depression has been a noticeable thing, and this site is no exception. The combination of weather and being indoors, having to deal with shitty family over the holidays, being lonely over the holidays, etc. is bad enough, but I feel like this year is worse than usual due to the election and other events.

I don’t know if recent bad vibes might be in part due to this, but regardless, please treat both yourself and others with kindness, at least as much you’re able to. Also, don’t hesitate to open up to people you trust if there’s anything on your mind you want to discuss.

Does anyone else have any good tips for dealing with it? Please let us know in the comments, and thank you for reading this.

I think some of the disagreement about moderation of Luigi's Mansion comes from people missing the boat on his actual politics. He was not just a wacky musk stan, here is one of the guys I saw listed in connection with him: https://substack.com/@picopaco/notes note the hits such as "Racial Group Differences are primarily genetic in origin" and "The Great Palestine Lie". I saw a few other nazi adjacent people on his substack and twitter, but I cant find it anymore, same goes for the thing where luigi actually follows this guy. If anyone has the actual post, I would appreciate a link to it!

I would be more sympathetic to trying to claim him if he was just talking about how AI is going to do whatever stuff tech bros are talking about now, and I would assume most people trying to claim him are thinking he was in this group.

There are so many different comparisons that could be made here.

Ex:

wojak-nooo Elon trying to secure title of Meme Lord : Billion$

gigachad-hd Luigi does propaganda of the deed : a few Thousand$

My submission is maybe the most obvious, Soviet flag over the Reichstag

It can be anything, photograph, painting, meme, screenshot of CCTV footage of a CEO getting domed in the street, etc
