Not sure the source on this but sightings of "things" have been happening arouind the globe. The other day Germany saw stuff near bases and India at an airport as well iirc https://www.timesnownews.com/world/ufos-spotted-in-china-latvia-and-new-jersey-in-last-24-hours-videos-and-photos-spark-speculation-article-115985783

Someone captured some footage last night or tonight (not sure) of a fixed wing boomerang shaped drone https://www.reddit.com/r/NJDrones/comments/1hdkkad/drone_sighting_last_night_in_neptune_nj/ very interesting as the only time I've ever seen one looking like this is used by the military.

Here's a newsnation report from on the ground https://www.reddit.com/r/UFOs/comments/1hdnfcq/best_report_of_the_drones_so_far/

AND

There's a drone flying outside my house tonight. I live in PA about 4 hours away from NJ. I can tell it's a drone because it's fairly small and was doing lazy circles in the sky.

It’s probably US military or US military contractors (second more likely IMO). Normally they’d be testing somewhere remote… the fact that they aren’t suggests they need a populated area to do testing.

Im taking bets this is some kind of new surveillance drone tech. Would not be surprised if they’re doing facial recognition shit from the sky.

Sorry I sound insane and paranoid. It’s a strong gut feeling. If it were foreign actors it would be shot out of the sky. If it were hobbyists it would be shot out of the sky. Of course the governments gonna play dumb and be like we have no idea what this is!

We can’t rule out aliens but I think it’s far more likely US military contractor testing out spy drones.

but don't they already have perfectly functioning drones for surveillance anyways? i thought it was a mix of that and 'Stingray'-type devices. Google and cell providers for triangulation and geolocation, or that thing where they find all devices/users in a given area and uncover identities for possible 'suspects'

you're not paranoid at all (well, i sure hope i'm not encouraging any sort of delusion in the event you are), this is fairly common, esp. given all the protests and the recent high-profile case

Yeah, they already have the tech, but that’s like comparing todays iPhone to yesterdays Nokia brick. They’re both cell phones…
