In all seriousness, we’ve got to make room for folks to return to sanity. When they have these “ah ha” moments we should take those opportunities to walk them back to reality.

All the “leopards/faces” jokes, while cathartic, aren’t really helping and encourage people to turn their backs on sanity for comfort.

Is there actual concrete evidence of any MAGAs "returning to sanity" over this stuff? As much as I'd love to be wrong, I'm skeptical that anyone still in the MAGA camp after the past 10 years could see this administration do any kind of heinous shit and not immediately dismiss it as false or rationalize it in a way that conforms to the party narrative. I think they've all been irreversibly brainwashed by Fox News and weaponized social media.

I’ll always leave room for them, but I would still bet they will be fed their next set of talking points within the next 24 hours and be right back on board the crazy train.

That's the real issue. If you have your fundamental beliefs shaken, you might reason through and come to a good, logical, moral conclusion. You might also do the cognitive dissonance thing and suppress the new revelation with bullshit. If, however, you have someone (faux news) right there with the cognitive dissonance spewing 24/7 and are in an echo chamber of others who are agreeing... well, it's a good chance you'll just accept the talking point and not question it.

Maybe the way to go about it is mocking them if they're spouting the propaganda, and trying to help them in their reasoning if they're questioning things.
