what exactly is Elon doing right now? I feel like I'm not up to speed
He is ripping out U.S government parts, laying off workers without any regard to consequence, and fiddling with parts of the government which shouldn't be fiddled with.
He is also doing all the above while removing Congress approved funds. Congress controls the purse, not Elon Musk who may or may not be the head of DOGE (it varies based on who you ask or if you are under a court order).
