United unexpectedly managed to get a draw from their match against Arsenal. Ruben Amorim had announced that his team "just need to survive" before the match, following Arsenal's thrashing of PSV in the Champions League earlier in the week. Surprisingly, survive they did and even took a point from the currently second best team in the League.

Unexpectedly? How dare you! Arsenal were lucky not to get thumped by the best MUFC team in years!

As someone who really started watching football when United started their absurd phase of dominance in the early 1990s, it still feels weird seeing them muddle around in mid table now. I guess this is how my father's generation must have felt about Liverpool until Klopp took over and turned things around.

Same here, really. I started supporting in the mid-90s but I've also gotten accustomed to our mediocrity in the post-Ferguson era.
