I don't understand why no Allstars don't play in these games. It's the best none NBA basketball you are going to get. And in terms of Xs and Os the international game is always a year ahead. Players get to see new sets and defenses, that will 100% be showing up in the NBA.
Mainly because of injuries. If they get injured here and have to take time off during the season, then that's going to cost them a chance at an NBA championship. It's as easy as that.
Yeah no kidding, some dude lost a kidney earlier. I would never trade a kidney for a chance at FIBA gold.
