The image in your post is of a Nazi, the Soviet army killed more Nazis than any other in history. Tankies is a meaningless word akin to woke, more LGBTQ+ people are killed in the United States than Russia or China combined. When MAGA-fascism takes over the United States and bog-standard Fascism takes over Europe I and every other so-called tankie would fight by your side, yet I fear you would turn us over to the brownshirts. Tankies and the soviet union aren't the same thing though.
I mean, the term literally originates as a label for British socialists/communists that were sympathetic to the USSR when they were invading Hungary (pretty sure it was Hungary?)
defining the USSR in this way (by acts performed under specific leaders) is like defining the USA based on Reaganism or Nixonism or Bushism
