This place is really turning into the Star Trek subreddits with this circlejerk of "Nah not canon". Really starting to enjoy my time less and less and wondering why I'm even staying around this place when so many toxic (and frankly homophobic) takes there have been lately.

Edit: To clarify, no. Of course you're not being homophobic. I just mean that the energies listed above are becoming more pervasive and I'm just tired of this disingenuous behavior followed up immediately with "Oh nah I was just kidding, I wasn't being serious." Just done with this really negative and kinda bitchy behavior and gonna start blocking this in the future. I came to Lemmy to get away from reddit.
