And there goes another country to the Alt-right. It's really disheartening to see a message like this continue to win elections globally.

I get that people are worried their left and centre left governments have failed them, but why the pull to the opposite extreme?

That's like saying you want to put ExxonMobil in charge of combating climate change because Greenpeace hasn't solved it yet.

Just like everywhere else, the top heavy generation of the baby boomers trying hard to get their own. Youth vote was largely leftist, but fuck the future generations, right?

Their points concerning the economy are actually quite reasonable (if they are attainable). It’s the climate goals and immigration standpoints that are the problem imo.

Edit: and of course their obsession with Islam too.

You can guess which will get more attention once in power, neo liberal economic changes or immigration and climate change.
