The propaganda war against Israel is very real on lemmy. Dozens of posts per day from absolutely random sites with the most click bait titles.
Israel is literally committing a genocide in Gaza. Imagine acting surprised that people are talking about this.
And breachmedia.ca is an aggressively left wing "media" source started only two years ago that spins all sorts of topics in a non-professional manner for journalists. It's all opinion hit pieces, not factual reporting.
Plus, they're not exactly open about their "independent" funding sources.
I'm a leftist, voting consistently ndp or Green, and this outlet is absurd in my opinion.
People can talk about what's happening in gaza, but the sheer volume of posts had led to little discussion. It's an influence campaign.
Sure, either that or shifting public opinion. But sure, let's go with the conspiracy first.
It's not a conspiracy that Palestine is using disinformation and propaganda techniques. It's been confirmed multiple times by multiple groups.

Im not saying Israel isn't doing it too, but don't be naive, there are absolutely coordinated state owned and private groups putting out fake and misleading content on all social media platforms regarding this war.
Ah yes, there's a coordinated state owned effort to influence the opinions of a tiny Lemmy community. That's totally an opinion a sane person would hold.
