Personally I feel lemmy should ban, or at least mandate they are nsfw screen shots originating from that cesspool.
Remember people when the viewing stops, that awful CEO can go fuck himself.
I don't fault him at all. If you're in the entertainment industry (and want to stay in it), a Twitter presence is pretty much required. Online posting isn't just a hobby, it's part of your job, and Twitter is where the audience is.
and he's paying to use it?
It is basically impossible at this point to know. Elon loves giving people who give him shit blue check marks because he thinks it's an insult to them.
