After the crash, Max drove his car back to the pits shedding carbon and rubber around the circuit. Wasn't it very recently that a 3 place grid penalty next race was handed out for doing the same thing?
Are you truly suggesting that people should retire from now on if they have a punctureยฟ?
What I'm suggesting is there is no constancy in the way the FIA determines their own rules.
