His brain continues to turn to pudding. I'm convinced that him hinting he might drop out of the race was a small slip of him saying what he actually wants to do, deep down he's just a tired,crazy old fuck. Then his handlers got in there and grabbed the reigns again and you see him do a 180 and say he's absolutely not dropping from the race.
There is a part of me that almost feels bad for him, as this is basically boiling down to elder abuse. Part of me also thinks this is absolutely the very minimal he deserves for a lifetime of evil and support of capitalism. Work you old fuck. Be tired and forced to stay awake for you masters. Be forced to work till your last breath.
I think it's almost certain he's going to have to drop out at this point. The debate performance was terrible, but what's more notable is the slew of negative coverage in liberal media immediately after. They didn't even try to play it off like they usually do this time, which suggests that the push to remove him has already been brewing behind the scenes. The debate was likely his last chance to show that he's actually capable of running.
And I completely agree that it is basically elder abuse at this point. Turns out his family are complete and utter psychopaths who are cynically using a demented old man to advance their own interests. These people are absolutely disgusting.
Does he deserve it? Yes. But I still feel bad that his family is forcing his exhausted semi-corpse to hold on to the throne for their personal benefits.
