Episode 83: Ruidus
After meeting with various important Exandrian figures trying to plot along with you, with what is happening on Ruidus and how to stop it. You put yourselves forward as the ones to do this "intel mission' to figure out as much as you can about the goings on so the Exandrian forces can plan accordingly, when the time is right. In doing so, you rallied yourselves, and with the help of The Voice of The Tempest, you snuck into the Tishtan Excavation Site once more, seeing them bolstering their defenses, new technology being incorporated into the surroundings of the key itself.
You stealthed past many members of the Ruby Vanguard and the Reiloran defenses. Attempting to climb the Malleus Key, it seemed that combat was a necessity . After some, "not quite as smooth" stealth attempts had transpired, but i think, overall, you managed to climb towards the top piecemeal, somewhat rickety map piece, of an advancement to the Malleus Key, my apologies. But in doing so, you damaged and distracted a number of the surrounding guard in the vicinity.
You fought the Thought Eater, one of the various powerful mystic Reilorans that was guarding the spot behind Otohan Thull, who had darted off towards the distraction that had been built by the remaining forces of the Exandrian mines. Upon climbing it, did so while also bringing along with you a possum-transformed juggernaut.
As you all found yourselves being thrust through the energy blast that is the Bloody Bridge, you found yourselves now standing on the surface of the red moon of ill omen, Ruidus, Looking up you can see a portion of the sky is now encompassed by the beautiful, glowing blue-0green sight of your home world, Exandria. And as your eyes come down on the ace around you, on the horizon you can see the majority of which is clouded in ever-shifting, either away or towards you, roiling dust storms of red in the distance, the dappled stars above still being slowly consumed by the ever prominent and dangerous-looking storms, very familiar to you.
As you look into tbe space around you, you can see the glow of the ground around where the Bloody Bridge arrives here, filling the space with reddish energy and beyond that, you see what looks to be a makeshift encampment. There are built walls of bone and glass and stone that have been put together in a ramshod manner. You can see there are tents and small structures surrounding this, like a temporary military encampment had been built around this arrival site.
You can see there is a large pillar with a bell hanging on it. You can see there's the weird, reddish plant material, almost like a scrub brush that is growing and grasping onto bits of exposed stone around here, the first real sign in person of vegetation on this land, though unfamiliar in some odd ways. You can see spires of strange rock poking through the ground in places, like the very presence of the magic of the Bloody Bridge is tearing and pulling elements up from the ground beneath.
But this is an encampment and you have no idea how many people may or may not be in it, and you know there's something coming behind you, likely very soon.
