I don’t know, they were clearly endangering everyone’s life in that stadium by running across it like that in the middle of a game. He is a super hero saving all those lives. /s in case it wasn’t obvious…

Even rent-a-cops are bastards.

Officer waited his whole life to taze someone. Let the guy do a backflip and waited until they ran again.

The officer could have tackled him easily while he was getting setup for that backflip, but he had the taser out and was raring to use it.

That picture mid backflip with the officer right next to him is an awesome picture though. I'd get that blown up and put on my wall.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

A field-invading baseball fan did a backflip at a Cincinnati Reds game Tuesday night before he was brought down by stun gun-wielding police, authorities said.

5 Johnny Bench pullover didn't immediately run when police approached him in the ninth inning at Great American Ballpark.

Hendon sprinted only a couple of feet before he was unceremoniously brought down by high voltage.

"A fan ran onto the playing field during the game and ran from police when officers attempted to stop him to prevent further disruption to the game or safety risks to players and ballpark staff," Cincinnati Police Lt. Jonathan Cunningham said in a statement.

He appeared before Municipal Court Judge William Mallory on Wednesday still wearing that road gray Bench jersey.

Messages left by NBC News for Hendon, his attorney and family members were not immediately returned Wednesday.
