Likely a bot account reposting content from elsewhere. I recommend blocking those users, since the content is usually not worth reposting.

honestly it destroys lemmy experience for me because it makes lemmy look like a bot-cloned reddit. i barely ever see genuine posts at all.

There is a setting to turn off bots in your settings on the web portal. I’ve had them turned off since I joined.

I’m on Kbin and I don’t see them. (Or I don't notice them, it’s not very apparent at least).

In your profile settings, you can choose to hide posts by accounts marked as bot. I'd recommend trying that out.

which feed? the one you curated by subscribing to various communities, or the "all" one?

I see them on both. It's these sudden bursts throughout the day where some communities spam my feed with these posts.
