Twilio has finally killed off its Authy for Desktop application, forcibly logging users out of the desktop application.

Good riddance to Authy. I hated sites that insisted on people using that app.

How did any sites insist in Authy? Was it not just a generic MFA app and so users could choose any they liked?

No there were some that only took Authy, that's why it was such a pain. Twilio itself might have been one that later relented and enabled regular TOTP.

Aegis for Android is still the best. Though it might be good for Apple, since the last popular one sold out recently. Ente service is still very new, even though they have a good reputation from their cloud storage.
