While presenting itself as the antidote to a rising fascist tide, establishment liberalism is in denial about the many ways it has been the cause or enabler of that tide.

Chris Hedges saw this coming fifteen years ago in Death of the Liberal Class, but as an incalcitrant liberal he has no satisfactory answers, because for him real socialism is a bridge too far.

Capitalism, which liberalism, much like conservativism, champions above all else, and which will inevitably decay in to fascism every single time, will cost us the Earth.

Always focus on the core cause, as well as on those who enable and benefit from it.
