Enough Musk Spam

For those that have had enough of the Elon Musk worship online.

No flaming, baiting, etc. This community is intended for those opposed to the influx of Elon Musk-related advertising online. Coming here to defend Musk or his companies will not get you banned, but it likely will result in downvotes. Please use the reporting feature if you see a rule violation.

Opinions from all sides of the political spectrum are welcome here. However, we kindly ask that off-topic political discussion be kept to a minimum, so as to focus on the goal of this sub. This community is minimally moderated, so discussion and the power of upvotes/downvotes are allowed, provided lemmy.world rules are not broken.

Post links to instances of obvious Elon Musk fanboy brigading in default subreddits, lemmy/kbin communities/instances, astroturfing from Tesla/SpaceX/etc., or any articles critical of Musk, his ideas, unrealistic promises and timelines, or the working conditions at his companies.

Tesla-specific discussion can be posted here as well as our sister community /c/RealTesla.

It’s the free market dumbass, boycotting isn’t illegal.

Yeah not so fast:

https://nonprofitquarterly.org/bill-threatening-nonprofits-advances-in-us-house-again/

"52 Democrats broke from their caucus to support the measure."

Businesses colluding to harm a competitor is though, which is what he claims.

It's still ridiculous claim.

So, boycotting is illegal in his free market capitalist utopia…

The man who told advertisers to go fuck themselves is mad that advertisers left.

[–] WoahWoah@lemmy.world 35 points 2 months ago

Is he still trying to sue people into liking him? What a loser.

[–] Iheartcheese@lemmy.world 25 points 2 months ago (1 children)

This man is going to be making big decisions for America.

[–] Anticorp@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago

Big decisions such as "all NASA funding now belongs to Space X, and it's illegal for businesses to not maintain a presence and advertising budget with Xitter.

[–] felykiosa@sh.itjust.works 21 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I really hope his business just collapse ,he is forced to sell space x and he never had any decision power on anything ever again

[–] Anticorp@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Stop hoping that, because you'll only be disappointed. He can lose 99% of his money and still be one of the richest men on the planet. He would still be worth billions of dollars. He cannot fail at this point. It would take a full time staff a lifetime to give all of his money away. Sorry dude. The worst that can happen to him is that people stop paying attention to him, which would be a punishment worse than death for him.

[–] felykiosa@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 months ago

Since most of his "money" is just share it would be completely plausible that it collapse I m hoping that it would happen :)

[–] NocturnalMorning@lemmy.world 16 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Misread that and thought X was suing Twitter, and was really confused for a minute.

[–] Zimroxo@lemm.ee 9 points 2 months ago

I made the same mistake and, honestly, at this point I'd believe it

[–] Zier@fedia.io 10 points 2 months ago

Funny how this unpopular kid is suing people to support him. No one likes you Melon Head, F U C K O F F ! ! !

The free speech absolutist gets upset when people don't want to talk on his platform.

[–] FeloniousPunk 5 points 2 months ago (1 children)

There is absolutely nothing illegal about companies conspiring to NOT give another unrelated company money. What a dipshit.

And you know the only reason this lawsuit exists is because dumbass probably said something along the lines of, “I don’t care if we lose, I don’t care if it’s a waste of money. Sue them.”

I just hope Twitch counter-sues with a SLAAP suit, because they would probably win.

Is he getting to do this with his favoured judge in Texas. That's the scary thing he gets to pick people in the judiciary to execute his legal desires.

[–] Anticorp@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago

Yes? And? Advertisers have a legal right to stop advertising. What an entitled prick.

I don't see it myself. Does clearing cookies and other data for that site help?

[–] dragonfucker@lemmy.nz 1 points 2 months ago

It's probably because mobile.
