Original Title: TIL Hitler so detested modern art that he ordered Goebbels to open a "degenerate art" gallery of works seized by the SA to show the German people what he was "saving" them from. The concept backfired, and Goebbels had to go to great lengths to discourage the pieces from being admired by guests.
