ELsevier is trash and should be destroyed, they profit off of paywalling human research.

Resist by using Annas's Archive, libgen and other dark libraries as much as possible so they don't get a dime. Or if a paper really interests you, try emailing the authors directly to request a copy; many are happy to give their papers out (so I'm told).

It's pretty silly if the phrase actually came from AI being unable to read a two-column paper.

Unless the authors can define/cite what "vegetative electron microscopy" is, they shouldn't use the term. That's just common sense for academics, one would think.
