Native support for Windows only, some Steam comments say that it's kicking Linux-users, and tonnes of complaints saying that the game runs poorly or crashes even with Windows on enthusiast hardware.

Sounds like it's unplayable garbage.

So Ascended is a remake of the official release but still "Early Access" and you can't upgrade from the edition you already have, and they won't be cross compatible for multiplayer. And it runs like warmed-over ass. Also ARK 2 is supposed to be out next year?

Sounds good to me!

But are the updates still going to be 250gb each? Because if not, can this truly be called ARK?

The CEO of the company behind Ark has to be smoking crack. Nothing they do makes sense.

Don't forget they paid who knows how much to get Vin Diesel in Ark 2. Like that's exactly what we all wanted. Very good use of money.

Ark: Survival Ascended includes all previously released paid DLC and new content of its own, including additional store content, new DLC, seasonal events…
